Tutorial: Classic Twisted Updo

Step 1: Prep Your Hair

1. Brush through your hair to remove any tangles. For added smoothness, use a light serum or smoothing spray.

Step 2: Create Sections

1. Divide Hair in Three Parts:
   • Separate a small section at the crown and pin it up temporarily.
   • Split the rest of your hair into three sections: one large back section and two smaller side sections.

Step 3: Form the Base Bun

1. Gather the back section of your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck. Secure it with a hair tie.
2. Twist the ponytail and wrap it into a bun, securing it with bobby pins.

Step 4: Twist the Side Sections

1. Take one of the side sections and twist it away from your face.
2. Wrap this twisted section over and around the bun, securing it with bobby pins.
3. Repeat with the other side, crossing it over the bun in the opposite direction and pinning it into place.

Step 5: Adjust and Secure

1. Use your fingers to gently loosen some strands around your face for a soft, romantic look if desired.
2. For a more formal look, smooth all the sections tightly against your head.

Step 6: Finishing Touches

1. Spray the updo with a strong-hold hairspray to set it in place.
2. If you want extra shine, mist with a light finishing spray or add a decorative accessory, such as a clip or pin.
